Fence Repair in Huntsville

A fence rarely fails all at once — it fails a post here, a panel there, a gate that drags a little worse each month. Fix those on time and the fence you have keeps serving; that's usually the smart money.

The repairs we run every week

  • Leaning and broken posts. Madison County's clay plus a shallow original setting equals lean — the county's most common fence complaint. We pull the failed post, dig the hole right this time, and reuse your existing panels. A handful of posts done properly often straightens a fence the owner assumed was finished.
  • Storm damage. Spring wind events snap sections along the fence lines that face open ground. Panel rebuilds and post resets get you back to whole without buying a whole new fence — and we photograph the damage in a format insurance adjusters accept, in case the claim is worth filing.
  • Gates. Sagging, dragging, latch-missing gates are a hardware-and-bracing problem nine times out of ten. We rebuild gates with the same sag-proof standard as our new installs; it's a small job that fixes the most-touched part of the fence.
  • Rot and termite triage. Alabama's humidity works from the ground up — post bases and bottom rails go first. Localized rot gets cut out and replaced; if the probe finds it running the length of the fence, we stop and have the honest conversation instead of billing you panel by panel.

The half-price rule: when a repair list creeps past roughly half the cost of a comparable new fence, we quote both side by side. Sometimes twelve-year-old pine has simply served its term — you deserve that math out loud, not discovered invoice by invoice.

Shared fences and neighborly repairs

Plenty of Huntsville repairs involve a fence that two households look at. We're comfortable being the neutral party: one evaluation, a written scope both sides can read, and a split any arrangement can live with. A leaning shared fence fixed for a few hundred dollars is cheaper than the alternative in every currency that matters on a cul-de-sac.

When repair is urgent

Two cases jump the queue: a pool fence that no longer latches or holds its line — that's a safety code issue, not a cosmetic one — and pasture fence with livestock behind it, where a breach costs animals. Call those in as what they are and we'll treat them accordingly. Everything else books within the week, weather permitting.
